Lead Digital Designer

I report to the Digital Online Manager, I work closely with the Brand Director and oversee two print graphic designers. I also maintain a relationship with the Marketing and PR departments to ensure all criteria is met on their behalf.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • I worked with an external agency and together we create the seasonal concept and guidelines to which I translate through to digital media and presenting this concept to the graphic designers and approving all print design to ensure brand consistency.

  • The seasonal concept involves two photoshoots (launch and high season). I am involved in the budgets, location, approval of casting as well as working to the linesheets with the designers. This season working with Arizona Muse and Erin Hetherington.

  • Implementing artwork across the website, eDM’s, mobile, App and social media. I organise my own work load and maintain communication to meet expectations and deliver work on time. I use a number of spreadsheets and checklists for time management. 

  • Working with marketing to the Marketing calendar as well Loyalty and creating ideas to retain and encourage customer loyalty.

  • I recently worked on re-branding the Witchery website as they integrated with Country Road and this has also seen a steady growth resulting in increase in demand and sales. 

 

 

 

STYLETREAD
Creative Designer

I worked alongside the art Director who implemented more of the functional side of the business. I had 2 graphic designers and a copywriter reporting to me.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working to the managing directors vision I translated this through to small scale photoshoots to support eDM’s and website material.

  • Developing content, copy, design, coding, using Magento and scheduling for 4x newsletters a week, landing pages, web banners, and social.

  • Creating and updating the homepage carousel to keep the site looking fresh and appealing.

  • Working with the Marketing team to create an events calendar to strategically design Newsletters to our key audience e.g. Fashion Week, Melbourne Cup, Festivals etc. 

  • Also working with marketing in order to be kept informed on how newsletters are performing, customer habits and profiling for men and women.

  • Weekly update with the buyers to keep up-to-date with new stock in order to offer any design or content initiatives.

  • Supplying artwork for social media; Facebook and Blog.

  • Being the Brand Custodian and responsible for all artwork adhering to Guidelines in order to maintain consistency and brand recognition through all channel.

Design Manager

I reported to the Creative Director/Founder and managed my own team of 3 graphic designers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing each seasonal concept with the Creative Director and ensuring this was translated through web photography, look books, POS material, eDM’s, website creative and social media. Also for the business,
    so presentations, linesheets and sales materials.

  • Maintaining my team morale under pressure by talking through their work, listening to them as well as providing direction and support. I’m not a micro-manager.

  • Liaising with Marketing & PR working to the Marketing calendar to ensure all opportunities are met to
    capture our customers.

  • I organise the work load in order of priority to ensure all deadlines are met. This is maintained by using
    xcel spreadsheets to log all work and its progress as well as keeping all parties informed should there
    be any changes.

  • I created a set brand guidelines for the company in order to maintain consistency and help the designers work collaborative ensuring the brand recognition and market placement. 

 

 

 

CLEMENGER BBDO

Reporting to the Studio Manager. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
My role was to work with the creative teams to produce designs from initial concept through to final print for a wide variety of advertising, print and web based media. 

  • Assisting the Retoucher on small scale jobs.

  • Create artwork that reflects the creative concept. 

  • Small scale photography.

  • Manage the guidelines against all work on every account including Clemenger’s own brand.

  • Liaise with the Studio Manager, Print Production, Accounts Service at all levels of artwork.

  • Maintenance of the Mitsibishi image library (Digital Asset management).

  • Mocking up samples of work - including 3D structures, brochures and presentation boards.

  • Preparing files for print using Quickcut or DVD’s.

  • Accounts that I worked across; Vodafone, Johnson&Johnson,  Hungry Jacks,  Mitsubishi, Smiths and Virgin Blue

 

 

 

HARRODS
Designer & Brand Guardian

REPORTS

My initial role at Harrods was Creative Artworker reporting directly to the Head of Creative and was then promoted to Designer & Brand Guardian reporting to the Store Image Director as well as the Head of Creative and on occasion to the chairman - Mohammed Al Fayed. I had one report, a Junior Designer.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working alongside the art director executing concept from initial brief to final print.

  • Relaying creative campaign concepts through store collateral; store guide, brochures, leaflets, signage and POS.

  • Art directing small scale photoshoots and assisting on larger campaign shoots.

  • Project managing catalogues working alongside product managers and third party suppliers, as well as designing. 

  • Checking and signing off proofs, for consistency and from a brand perspective.

  • Working alongside the web team - supplying imagery for online catalogues and digital screens.

  • Assisted on the re-design of the website.

  • Assisting on PR events - coordinating.

  • Designing for events - invitations, backdrops, catalogues.

  • In-house model for brand events.

  • Final approval of all branded and dual branded advertising, events, PA’s, and product launches from many of Harrods’ concessions and celebrity endorsements.

  • Maintenance of all in-house brands such as By Appointment, Harrods American Express and Harrods Rewards.

  • I was also asked to write Guidelines for various personal projects from the Chairman.
